Sleep Disorders

More than one in four of us finds sleeping difficult at some point in our lives. It is very common to find periods in your life when you lay awake at night and your mind goes round and round, making you feel as though you are unable to stop it. Sometimes the thoughts can be distressing and other times they can simply be continuous, mundane thoughts that are difficult to control. This can be incredibly frustrating. Learning how to control these thoughts is the key to having a better night's sleep.

Sleep problems tend to be axacerbated by what is known as 'The Law of Reversed Effort.' This means that the more you try to sleep, and concentrate your mind on it, the more difficult it becomes to actually get to sleep. This can be remedied by learning about the workings of the mind and by adopting the correct cognitive methods for managing your thinking.

Hypnotherapy and relaxation techniques can be very useful in helping you get a good night's rest. Often, however, sleep problems can be a reflection of how you are managing the daily stress and worries of life. Because anxiety often plays a role, the best thing you can do is to gain a real understanding of how the mind works and how to control it. The Creating Mind Health course will show you how to do this, giving you a deep understanding of the symptoms and putting you fully in control.

As with any symptom, learning how to really take control of it is the best thing anyone can do.
