Hypnotherapy
Hypnotherapy is a way of using hypnosis for immediate change. It can be very effective in the treatment of a wide range of symptoms including stress, anxiety, fears, phobias, smoking, nail biting, Irritable Bowel Syndrome... the list goes on. During the hypnotherapy session you will be asked to relax into a very pleasant and comfortable state, in which you are then given a series of very specific positive suggestions. In this lightly hypnotised state you will remain fully aware of what is happening around you and in full control. This is because the subconscious mind is always looking after you and is only open to positive, beneficial suggestions.
Just like going to see a Chiropractor, or in taking medication, the results of hypnotherapy can range from not helping, to helping a lot, to a complete cure - depending on the person. 99% of people who opt for hypnotherapy end up somewhere between being helped and being cured, often over the course of several sessions.
Hypnotherapy can be particularly useful in assessing the reasons why symptoms have arisen, which is why it is often very useful to combine one or two sessions of hypnosis with the Creating Mind Health course. This gives you a genuine, deep understanding of what the symptoms are, how they arose and how to control them, and puts you fully in control of your own recovery, which is the best possible position to be in.
A course of hypnotherapy consists of one or more 50-minute sessions.
